October 2019 Musical - Anything Goes!
The elegant and entertaining Cole Porter classic, Anything Goes joyously sails to the CPP stage for the first time. For decades it has entranced theatre-goers all over the world with its show-stopping tap routines, soaring melodies and comic verve.
Set aboard the ocean liner, S.S. American as it voyages from New York to England in the 1930s, Anything Goes hilariously rides the high seas of topsy-turvy relationships, mistaken identities and foiled schemes. Cole Porter’s sparkling score features some of the theatre’s most memorable standards, including ‘You’re the Top’, ‘I Get a Kick Out of You’ and, of course, the toe-tapping title song, ‘Anything Goes’.
Director: Jenny Gay
Musical Director: David Billimoria
