Amy first got involved with Croydon Parish Players in 2007 when she was roped in by one of the younger Chatwins to do Pirates. For Amy being in The Sound of Music is a family affair, as her husband Chad is also involved.

Amy LOVES Croydon Parish Players and the groups enthusiasm for the shows it does. As for The Sound of Music – she says it’s an awesome story with fantastic concepts and characters. And an added “quo-ni-am” bonus for Amy is that she has been able to put her creative skills to good use too, forming part of the costume conglomerate - escaping backstage to whip up a habit or two during rehearsals.

Amy plays the role of a Postulant in the show and has really enjoyed the dancing as a party guest, as well as the vocal challenges of learning Latin. She is quite surprised, it wasn’t as hard as she thought it would be!

Come and see Amy waltz her way across the stage.... get your ticket today! There are still some great seats available for of the sessions - opening night is only days away now!.

Jacqui returns to the Croydon Parish Players stage after a 3 year absence – this is her first show since Pirates in 2007. But it’s not like Jacqui hasn’t been busy for the last 3 years – she has been spent this time raising her 3 beautiful children – Patrick, Charlotte & Addison.

The Sound of Music is her favourite musical of all and she wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity to be part of it for the world! She loves the diversity of her role as a “Party / Nun”- that she can be sombre in one scene, waltz in another and celebrate in the next.

One of Jacqui's Favourite Things is practising her singing at home with her son Patrick – in latin mind you! – she’s just got to get Patrick used to the idea that the Latin words the nuns sing are not actually  “Jelly Bran Tess” !! (Although that might sound close!)

If you want to see Jacqui “strut her stuff” in October be sure to book your ticket ASAP – they are selling fast!

Gill with a 'G; 08/10/2011

Since joining Croydon Parish Players through the Choir in 2010 Gill has hit the ground running, staring in our last 2 shows – The Music Man & Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime. Now – simply for a change of scenery – she decided to don the Directors Assistant’s hat for The Sound of Music.

What does Gill love about Croydon Parish Players? Everyone! She says “it’s like being part of a really big family!”

Gill thinks that The Sound of Music is going to be fantastic. She is looking forward to not having to jot down notes anymore so that she can start to REALLY enjoy the show and assist Nick in polishing and fine tuning it to a tee.

Come see all of Gill’s hard work put into action when our season commences in October! Tickets go on sale next Monday! The 15th!
