Steven likes his character of Sergeant Mellors. He may not have many lines, but he enjoys conveying his feelings through his actions. Steven went on to say “I like this play because previously I have only acted in comedies and it's nice to have a more melodramatic role.”
 
Steven enjoys the character of  Bunny, especially the way Meredith interprets her.

She came to know of CPP through mutual friends in the Nuworks Theatre Group.
 
Clare loves English ‘period’ plays. Her character, Clara Swettenham reminds her of Hyacinth Bucket, as she is rather overbearing!! She is also enjoying having a tall good looking son!
 
When asked who her favourite character is, Clare replied, “ I love the character of Bunny because she is so funny without meaning to be!"
 
Clare is looking forward to touring the U.K. later this year (in particular the part of the tour that will take them through Scotland and Stratford-Upon-Avon) with her fellow thespians from Nuworks.

She has previously been a Director's Assistant and has also directed a one act play with CPP, however this is her first time Directing a full play.
 
Jen is enjoying the challenge - especially fitting a large number of characters on stage! She has found it very rewarding to watch the characters come to life. Jen went on to say “I have been fortunate to have such a talented cast to work with and a strong team around me,  especially with Greg as my assistant. I like all the characters but I particularly like the wonderful character of Mitzi, her funny way of muddling her words and her accent!”
 
Despite having moved much further away over the years Jen has stayed in touch with the group because the friendships she has formed over the years and the fun she has when she’s with the group. “It makes the travel worthwhile!”

Why did she decide to audition for A Murder is Announced? Because she had seen The Mousetrap in London and really enjoyed it and she thought it would be fun to act in an Agatha Christie mystery.
 
Lindy plays the character of Miss Blacklock - a very strong woman, a survivor with a tender heart and genuine concern for others. Lindy has tread the boards with several other groups over the years, including performing in Fiddler on the Roof with CLOC in 2011. Prior to that, Lindy had an 8 year break from the stage, except, of course, for taking part in the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne!!
 
She admires the character of Bunny because of her childlike lack of inhibition.

One of the main things she loves about being a costume designer is that it gives her an excuse to play dress ups, even if it is with other people! She also loves the way that costumes can help create an entirely different world using only one aspect of the stagecraft (particularly historical time periods). Amy loves the way she can uses items from previous shows and modify them in some way to create something entirely new and different. When asked for her thoughts about A Murder is Announced Amy said she loves the colourful characters and how she can be working backstage and at the same time laughing at what's going on on stage!

She found out about CPP through her mother and Grandmother in law who have both done shows with the group in years gone by.

She has been in almost all the musicals since and is now a member of the committee. One of her favourite roles has been that of the Sour Kangaroo inSeussical the musical.

A Murder is Announced is Fiona's first time in a play, and is having great fun playing the role of Mitzi. She likes Mitzi’s explosive temperament and finds she can relate to Mitzi on some levels as she herself comes from an ethnic background. She believes Lindy is playing Miss Blacklock wonderfully and Meredith is doing and excellent job as Bunny.

His children also became involved with CPP but it wasn't until Man of La Mancha that he joined in on the act. Not only was this Ian's first production with the group but also his first time on stage.

Ian plays the character of Patrick in A Murder is Announced and is very much enjoying playing this role. Patrick is very much the spoilt, sarcastic, English “schoolboy” although older than his behaviour would suggest.

Ian feels the cast are getting on really well and that everyone is playing their parts brilliantly. He loves the character of Bunny and the humour her character brings to the play.
