Below is Nick's (who plays Edwin in our production) account of the day:
"There’s not too many plays you do where you can take a “cast excursion” to the place where it is set! When that place is an hour and a half down the freeway, it becomes a lot more possible!
Most of the cast, crew and families met on the Sorrento foreshore on a breezy Saturday morning to take in the sights of sunny Sorrento. We wandered on the jetty and discovered it is actually a little narrower than the one we are building!
We had photos in the bandstand and enjoyed lunch together in the park on top of the hill with the sign Hotel Sorrento looking down on as from the adjacent pub.
Ice creams and a wander in the main street and then a sojourn to the back beach where Ian in particular was interested in checking out the conditions of the water!
A lovely day to ponder Sorrento, our characters and enjoy some time together."
