Playing Harold Hill last season must really have taken it out of Colin! In October of last year he was bouncing around the stage in pursuit of the lovely Marion. This season he is shuffling about, barely able to get in and out of a chair. Remembering all of those lines must have affected his memory as well as he has become very forgetful and doddery. Perhaps it is due to a "round" Birthday he celebrated recently?? Of course it is not the ill effects of a previous play or the aforementioned birthday that is causing this peculiar behaviour. It is his fantastic portrayal of Arthur's uncle, The Dean of Paddington. His character acting is just as impressive as his leading man status. If you were delighted by his performance last year, make sure you don't miss him in action as the rather forgetful Dean of Paddington. (Oh, and happy birthday Col!)
